ACERA's meeting with the Energy Club WA Leaders at Deloitte Perth

On November 1, 2024, ACERA President Mr. Lewis Lu and Vice President Mr. Xipo Zhang met with Energy Club WA President Mrs. Bernadette Cullinane and Board Member Mrs. Katarina Van Der Haar at Deloitte's Perth office. Ms. Cullinane also serves as the Deloitte Australia Energy, Resources, and Industrials Industry Leader, while Ms. Van Der Haar is the Engagement Lead for Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) at Wood.

Energy Club is one of the most influential and active industry networks and educational resources for the energy sector in Western Australia.

During the meeting, Mr. Lu introduced ACERA’s development over the past decade, emphasizing key events such as the LNG Forum. This flagship forum, which centers on LNG regulation and industry requirements, has played a pivotal role in fostering LNG trading and cooperation between Australia and China. ACERA and Energy Club WA, previously known as the Petroleum Club, share a longstanding collaborative relationship. Deloitte senior management has also contributed to past LNG Forums, promoting the LNG trade between the two nations.

Both sides reminisced about longstanding connections, recalling familiar names and sharing memories. Energy Club WA expressed its enthusiasm to support ACERA, while ACERA committed to actively participating in Energy Club activities. Both parties voiced a shared commitment to continue building upon this legacy of cooperation.
