ACERA AGM recounts a successful 2019 and looks forward to a buoyant 2020
After another year of successful initiatives, the Australia Chinese Energy And Resource Association (ACERA) held its AGM and dinner banquet on Sunday January 12th, 2020 at Mom Dumpling House, renowned for its selection of North Eastern style Chinese cuisine.
With a healthy balance sheet and expanding membership base, the ACERA is in a strong position to continue its contributions to promoting ties between Australia and China through its existing activities as well as slating several progressive ideas for exploration.
Tysun Chan, president of the association, summarised the achievements of 2019, including:
The recent joint Oil and Gas Investment Seminar with Moore Stephens
A successful Mid-Autumn Festival banquet and with a special interactive program at the renowned Wu Ming Hotpot restaurant.
The key student oil and gas careers seminar at the Perth Convention Centre, attracting over 100 attendees and some of the more prominent companies in the WA petroleum sector.
Chinese New Year dinner and business networking at Red Chilli Sichuan Restaurant.
A tour of four cities in China (Beijing, Qingdao, Xiamen and Guangzhou) with a host of visits to oilfield companies and associations.
Welcoming of the Chongqing Petroleum and Gas Exchange delegation on their inaugural visit to WA.
Future activities being actively explored include holding an LNG Forum for 2020, seminars in partnership with various specialised companies working in the oil sector and leveraging further technologies for online face-to-face exchanges.
