Renamed to
ACERA
On March 14, 2024, WACPA was renamed the "Australia Chinese Energy and Resource Association" (ACERA). This transformation marks a significant expansion in both geographical scope and focus areas.
-
Geographical Scope: The association's activities have expanded from Western Australia to encompass the entire country.
-
Focus Area: The focus has broadened from solely oil and gas to include renewable energy, hydrogen energy, and other related clean energy sectors.
Despite these changes, ACERA remains a non-profit, non-political organization dedicated to promoting cooperation and exchanges in the energy and resources sector between Australia and China.
